MarketCurrents Wealth Management Hosts Year End Summit for Family Offices

New York, NY, December 28, 2018 --( At a gathering at The Omni Hotel in New York City, MarketCurrents Wealth Management, a subsidiary of MarketCurrents LLC, a leading event and publishing company for the private wealth industry hosted an invite-only event for family offices on the 6th of December. The theme of the event centered on a review of major trends in 2018 and foresights into 2019.

The event covered major themes within the sector including regulatory, operational and investment ideas. The opening session featured a fireside discussion, titled, “Perspectives from within a Family Office” with Sherry Witter, Managing Partner and CIO of the Witter Family Office, who was interviewed by Sumehr Sondhi, of MarketCurrents.

The second panel focused on Operational Considerations and was led by Michael Felman, Managing Director of MSF Holdings. Felman and other family offices discussed the latest infrastructural and technological trends. This included cybersecurity and hiring trends. Felman commented on the event, "I find the panel discussions at the MarketCurrents events to be highly relevant to the family office community. I have been fortunate to be a panelist at these events and have found my other panelists and the moderator to be extremely knowledgeable on the subject matter."

Samira Salman, COO of Heathside Ventures and CEO of Salman Solutions moderated the third session on Tax and Regulations. RSM, one of the event partners, was represented by Jason Michaels, who lent his expertise along with Michael Felman.

The fourth panel was led by Sam Won of GRMA, who moderated a panel on if a major correction was on the horizon and how family offices are preparing.

The event ended with Dan Holman and Tony Pandjiris of Admiral Capital presenting their venture debt platform.
