)-- Executive Education Academy Charter School Foundation, which supports Executive Education Academy Charter School in Allentown, has rescheduled its Pennies for Push-ups campaign to benefit the school’s Foundation. The event will now be held from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 9 in the Lehigh Valley charter school’s auditorium.
The appearance of David Goggins, which was to follow the campaign, has also been rescheduled to March 21 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
On February 9, members of the community are invited to visit the school and complete as many push-ups as they care to. Every push-up is paid for by community sponsors and results in a donation to the school’s Foundation. The Foundation’s Mission is to support the students and staff of the Charter School.
Not only will this event raise funds for students’ extracurricular and academic activities, it will also get students motivated for the appearance of David Goggins on March 21. The former Seal and world record holder, motivational speaker, and author will speak to and motivate students and members of the public that day. He will also sign copies of his new book, Can’t Hurt Me, which is currently a #2 bestseller behind Michelle Obama’s Becoming.
“Although unforeseen circumstances have delayed the event, we are still looking forward to our students, their families, and other members of the community participating, getting motivated, and having fun,” says Robert Lysek, founder and CEO of the Allentown charter school.
