Student Scholars Will Compete at The Region V NC Science and Engineering Fair Competition

Over 300 young scientists and engineers from across North Carolina, Region V will convene at Triad Math and Science Academy in Greensboro on Saturday, February 16, 2019, to participate in the annual Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Students from 3rd grade through 12th grade will defend their original science and engineering research in front of distinguished scientists and engineers. Triad Math and Science Academy is the signature school hosting this event.

Greensboro, NC, January 25, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Over 300 young scientists and engineers from across North Carolina, Region V will convene at Triad Math and Science Academy in Greensboro on Saturday, February 16, 2019, to participate in the annual Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Students from 3rd grade through 12th grade will defend original science and engineering research in front of distinguished scientists and engineers. Triad Math and Science Academy is the signature school hosting this event. This is the fifth year the school will host the Region 5 Science Fair.

Public viewing of the student research projects will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Gymnasium. Projects will be focused on a variety of topics in Earth and Environmental Science, Technology and Engineering, Biological Sciences, Physical Science and Chemistry.

The Student Awards Ceremonies will be taking place in the Auditorium. Students will compete for awards in both selected STEM categories as well as special awards. Selected high school student projects will advance to represent Region V at the N.C. Science and Engineering Fair (NCSEF), to be held in Raleigh, NC.
