Mid-Cities Area of DFW to See New Entry Point for Youth Football This Spring with League Produced by National Flex Football

This Spring, the team of former NFL players at NFX | National Flex Football is bringing 9v9, limited-contact football to the Mid-Cities area of Dallas/Ft. Worth, NFX DFW - Mid Cities.

Bedford, TX, January 26, 2019 --(PR.com)-- 9on9 Flex Football by NFX is youth football’s new “Spring Ball.” The style of play seen in this game is the same one the NFL teams use to develop their skills without putting the wear and tear on the body as it allows blocking but no head and shoulder contact and no tackling. Players are marked down by 2-hand touch. Kids will have the opportunity to learn the “physical” side of the game in a smarter environment.

Shawn Smith, the operator of the Mid-cities league and the founder of Texas Elite 7on7 and American Flex Football says, “Tackle players and coaches in the Mid-Cities area will be frothing at the mouth to participate in Flex Football as it will afford them 500+ more reps in the offseason to develop translatable football skills. It will also be a new entry point for kids wanting to try out football for the first time and an exciting non-impact progression to the development of flag and 7on7 players."

This league is part of the DFW region for National Flex Football where there will be a culminating tournament at The Star in Frisco. Games will be played at Pennington Field in Bedford, TX. This league is for all kids from the ages of 6 to 14 years old. Registration for the Spring NFX Flex league is now open and you can find out more information and register at flexfootball.com/nfx-dfw-mid-cities.
