Desert Foothills Theater Presents "Leading Ladies" Starting Feb. 8

The outrageous comedy by Ken Ludwig continues through Feb. 17.

Scottsdale, AZ, January 31, 2019 --(PR.com)-- The Desert Foothills Theater invites theater lovers to the outrageous comedy, “Leading Ladies” by Ken Ludwig, at its North Scottsdale Theater Feb. 8-17.

The show features two down-on-their-luck Shakespearean actors (played by Drew Armstrong and Cedric Knuth) who find themselves relegated to performing "Shakespeare's Greatest Hits" at Mooselodge functions, hitting rock bottom. When they hear about a woman in New York (Ann Harper) looking to leave her fortune to her long lost nephews, they figure they are good enough actors to pull off the roles and win the fortune. But when they get there, they find she is looking for nieces, not nephews. Well... of course they could pull of those roles too. They are Shakespearean actors, of course. What could possibly go wrong?

Performances of “Leading Ladies” on Feb. 8, 9, 15, and 16 begin at 7:30 p.m. with matinee performances at 2 p.m. on Sundays, Feb. 10 and 17. Tickets range from $17 to $35 and can be purchased at www.DFTheater.org.

“Theater-lovers of all ages will enjoy this funny performance,” says Tia Wooley, managing director of the Desert Foothills Theater. “We have a full line-up of events in 2019, sure to entertain and make our audiences laugh.”

Performances of “Leading Ladies” will be held in the Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Theater, 33606 N. 60th St., Scottsdale, 85266. Parking is free.

The award-winning Desert Foothills Theater has been presenting live performances in the far north Valley since 1975. For tickets and more information about upcoming events, visit www.DFTheater.org or call 480-488-1081.
