Hollywood, CA, February 02, 2019 --(PR.com
)-- Wonder Lab Films is proud to announce the completion of their first iPhone epic feature film WOLF BOY, a horror comedy starring Michael Monsour from Everybody Wants Some and filmmaker Michael Anton. The film was shot on two iPhone X cameras and one iPhone XS Max with Moment Lenses, Beast Grip, the Sandmarc Wide Lens, on the FiLMic Pro application. The film is a spinoff of The Great American Movie Hustle a movie turned series due for release in the summer of 2019. The film was shot in Punxsutawney and Indiana, PA.
Wolf Boy follows the fictitious versions of "Mike" Anton and Michael Monsour, as Mike is paid by an unknown celebrity to debunk the urban legend of Wolf Boy in the small town Ignorance, Ohio, as a recent attack reignites the legend and the small town's worst fears.
"Every film has a great story, whether it is the one that reaches the screen, or one that exists while making the production. I believe this film has both."
"Wolf Boy, like our Hustle series, infuses a sense of meta wonder that is usually reserved for cartoons, and of course, Deadpool. It was important that this production, like the story, did not leave room for error, rather made room for error."
"I knew embarking on an iPhone feature would be a challenge, especially under an aggressive multi camera format, but as someone who has filmed a significant amount with the iPhones, I went in with an understanding that if I could circumvent some of those limits stylistically we could mask those limitations, and create something truly interesting."
"I contacted FiLMic when I was first looking at shooting Wolf Boy on multiple iPhone X's, they led me to some excellent equipment recommendations. We ended up purchasing two beast grips per their recommendation and they worked out extremely well especially in very difficult weather conditions. Data wrangling is essential and going in with a plan is incredibly important. We thought we had the perfect plan at least ten times before production and managed to learn something new every day, but the data wrangling team specifically head by Jesse Sorraco, sat with me nearly every night to troubleshoot any potential issues we could face. The representative at FiILMic also made the recommendation of acquiring a strong Data Wrangler and we did."
"I also used two 58 mm Moment lenses for the iPhone X's and one Sandmarc Wide for the iPhone XS Max. The FiLMic application was very effective and I would strongly consider it to anyone who chooses to create an iPhone epic of their own. As long as the story is worth telling the ability to tell it visually is definitely there for the taking, because of the iPhone X's and FiLMic Pro's capabilities."
