Desert Foothills Theater Announces Two Concerts, One Musical in March

Scottsdale, AZ, February 16, 2019 --(PR.com)-- The Desert Foothills Theater (DFT) in North Scottsdale invites community members to two concerts and one musical in March.

On March 3, the DFT presents “T.A. Burrows in Concert.” In this hour-long tour de force, the “man of a thousand voices” takes a turn in the spotlight as himself. Performing 17 of his favorite songs, Burrows lends his own dynamic style to such pop hits and standards as “Fever,” “Young at Heart,” “The Best is Yet to Come,” “Copacabana” and many more. Between the tunes, he will keep the audience engaged with hilarious anecdotes reflecting his personal life and his amazing 40-plus year career as an entertainer.

This one-time T.A. Burrows event, beginning at 6:30 p.m., will be held inside the Foothills Community Foundation-Holland Cabaret Theater, 34260 N. 60th St., Bldg. B, Scottsdale. The intimate venue is a great place to visit with friends and enjoy the entertainment. Tickets are $29.50 and available at www.DFTheater.org.

“The Glen Campbell Story: A Tribute to His Legend and His Music” will have one performance on Sunday, March 24, 2 p.m. From The Beach Boy's "Pet Sounds" album to the movie "True Grit" or with the unforgettable "Rhinestone Cowboy," Campbell has influenced pop culture and the music scene more than most. The Glen Campbell Story is a spectacular concert celebrating the life and music of this legend featuring many of his hits. Tickets for the performance are $28 and available at www.DFTheater.org.

“Disaster: A 70s Disaster Movie Musical” will play for three weekends starting Friday, March 29. It's 1979, and New York's hottest A-listers are lining up for the opening of a floating casino and discotheque. Also attending is a faded disco star, a sexy nightclub singer with her eleven-year-old twins, a disaster expert, a feminist reporter, an older couple with a secret, a pair of young guys looking for ladies, an untrustworthy businessman, and a nun with a gambling addiction.

What begins as a night of boogie fever quickly changes to panic as the ship succumbs to multiple disasters, such as earthquakes, tidal waves, and infernos. As the night turns into day, everyone struggles to survive and, quite possibly, repair the love that they've lost...or at least escape the killer rats. Show times are 7:30 p.m. for Fridays and Saturdays, March 29-30, April 5-6 and April 12-13. Sunday afternoon matinee shows begin at 2 p.m. on March 31, April 7 and April 14. Tickets are $17-$35 and available at www.DFTheater.org.

“The Glen Campbell Story” and performances of “Disaster” will be held in the Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Theater, 33606 N. 60th St., Scottsdale, 85266. Parking is free.

“We have a full line-up of events in 2019, sure to entertain and make our audiences laugh,” says Tia Wooley, managing director of the Desert Foothills Theater.

The award-winning Desert Foothills Theater has been presenting live performances in the far north Valley since 1975. For tickets and more information about upcoming events, visit www.DFTheater.org or call 480-488-1081.
