Zonta Club of Washington, D.C. and The Zonta Club of Washington Foundation Have Undergraduate Scholarships Available for 2019-2020

Washington, DC, February 17, 2019 --(PR.com)-- The Zonta Club of Washington, D.C. (Club) and The Zonta Club of Washington Foundation (Foundation) are pleased to announce that the 2019-2020 scholarship program is now available. Applicants for these scholarships should be women pursuing undergraduate degrees at accredited District of Columbia colleges and universities who demonstrate competency in handling academic studies along with an interest in serving the community.

The awards typically range between $2,000 and $5,000, depending on merit and availability of funds. Minimum applicant qualifications include: 1) Female and 2) Enrollment in an undergraduate program at one of the following institutions:

· American University
· The Catholic University of America
· Georgetown University
· The George Washington University
· Howard University
· Trinity Washington University
· University of the District of Columbia

Scholarship applications must be submitted online no later than March 15, 2019, to be accepted for consideration. Past recipients are eligible to apply. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit, honors/community service and financial need.

The Zonta Club of Washington Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, was formed in 1981 to carry out the charitable objectives of the Club. Funds to support the work of the Foundation are derived from fundraisers, gifts from the Club, member donations, as well as public donations.
