)-- Mohit Bansal Chandigarh, a renowned photographer of Chandigarh Tricity, is hosting an inter-college photography event at DAV college, sector 10 Chandigarh on Friday 26 July 2019. The idea is to promote art and photography instinct among students and exhibit a career path they can choose.
“We need to work together to reconstruct the society we live in today. Our society sees the photographer as third-grade workers but it’s time to change their point of view," says Mohit Bansal Chandigarh in regards to this event.
Mayor of Chandigarh is invited as the Chief Guest and he will kick start the event with his humble and motivational address. Later, Mohit Bansal will share his story on how he became a photographer and what inspired him to choose this career.
The competition will be decided in two segments, mobile camera photography and DSLR photography. The students can choose either one of them and enroll listing their gadget. They will be given 1 hour of time to come up with their best shots. Be it of nature, art, people, landscape/portrait, anything of their liking. Each contest participant will be submitting a set of photographs and the jury members consist of Mr. Mayor, Mohit Bansal Chandigarh and the art and craft professor.
Before the winner is announced, Mr. Mohit Bansal will be discussing the technicality on camera angles, shots and the camera itself. Followed by a long ceremony of certificate distribution to all the participants which will be proof of their involvement in the extracurricular activity. The winner is chosen based on his/her photography talent like framing, lighting, time of shot (captured moment) and what the picture says at first glance.
To conclude, all the students will be present with a form of internship that they can fill if they are willing to join for the internship program at Mohit Bansal Chandigarh Photography. The program will cover all the major facets of the photography and even allow the intern to dive into editing.
