)-- The spend management specialists at Source One, a Corcentric company believe in the transformative power of a tech-enabled Procurement function. Alongside thought leaders from GlaxoSmithKline and IBM, they’ll demonstrate the capabilities of new procurement solutions at the ExecIn Forum next month.
The ExecIn Forum is a private component of the Institute for Supply Management’s Annual Conference. From April 8-9, the event will provide executive-level attendees with additional opportunities to network and share their thoughts on topics including the ever-present talent gap and the promise of emerging technologies.
On the 8th, Source One’s Senior Data Scientist, James Patounas and VP of Operations, William Dorn will provide ExecIn-goers an inside look at the business intelligence tools that have enabled the company to turn over 25 years’ worth of data into actionable information. Specifically showcasing Qlik Sense, the session will highlight how better data management allows the procurement consultancy to make smarter business decisions, increase efficiency, and ultimately empower every member of its delivery team.
Patounas elaborates, “At Source One, we’re long-time advocates for the partnership between Procurement and Data Science. With access to good data and the tools to make sense of that data, Procurement is capable of driving transformation. Qlik is a perfect example of a robust tool that even amateur end users can use to great effect.”
Joining Source One’s experts are IBM’s Procurement and Data Analytics Officer, Marco Romano and GlaxoSmithKline’s Global Category Lead for Digital and Tech Innovation, Jasdeep Sandhu.
Over nearly two decades at IBM, Romano has distinguished himself as a distinct asset in the IT giant’s efforts to bring Procurement and Data Analytics together. He’ll demonstrate for ExecIn attendees some of the solutions he’s used to guide digital transformations and make Procurement a more valuable strategic ally.
Sandhu, this year’s winner of the ISM Megawatt Rising Star Award, will discuss his work leveraging blockchain-empowered solutions at one of the world’s largest Pharmaceuticals providers. In addition to establishing several blockchain pilots, Sandhu serves as chair for a blockchain-specific think tank within GSK.
Source One's own Supply Chain Rising Stars will also be in attendance at ISM2019. All conference-goers are encouraged to visit Booth #438 to meet members of the award-winning Spend Management team and discuss their approach to elevating Procurement
