Floyd Void, East Texas' Own Pink Floyd Tribute Band, Starts Season at Big Sandy Music Hall This Weekend

Big Sandy, TX, March 30, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Floyd Void, East Texas’ own Pink Floyd Tribute Band, starts their second season of shows at the Big Sandy Music Hall in Big Sandy, TX March 29 and 30. The season continues with performances every last Friday and Saturday of the month through December. Doors open at 7:30PM and the shows start at 8PM.

The show commemorates the 40th anniversary of The Wall and the 25th Anniversary of The Division Bell with selections from those albums as well as selections from Dark Side of the Moon and, Wish you Were Here, and Momentary Lapse of Reason. In addition to performing the music of Pink Floyd, the band has designed a multi-media presentation complete with video, lights, fog and lasers.

Floyd Void is a 5-piece tribute to Pink Floyd that creates an extravagant show bringing together all the elements of music, video, audio and light production to pay tribute to one of the greatest bands on earth. The music for Floyd Void is provided by: Andrew Kirby on vocals, keyboards, electric guitar and 12 string guitar; Doug Kunkowski on lead electric guitar and vocals, Kate Kirby on vocals and bass guitar; Clay Jurenka on Drums and Brenda Barber on vocals and percussion.

“The idea came to us to do a tribute show to help promote this fantastic listening room in Big Sandy,” band founder, Andrew Kirby said. “We thought it would be a great way to promote the venue as well as be something musically meaningful to us who perform in the band, plus there’s just something about seeing the lasers and hearing Pink Floyd music in an old church that is surreal.”

Big Sandy Music Hall is a family-friendly listening room located in the auditorium of an historic church building on the corner of Hwy 80 and 155N., at the red light in Big Sandy, TX. Concessions are available (candy, snacks, sodas, water and coffee), and you can also bring your own food and beverage. Seating is general admission, with some reserved seats front center. Enter through the grand staircase at the front of the building.

Tickets are $15 General Admission advance, $20 Reserved Row Advance (online only), or $20/$25 at the door. Kids 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult. The show is about two hours.
