To that end, MTN Consulting is pleased to launch a quarterly, media-friendly report on the market share of network infrastructure vendors such as Huawei, Nokia, Ericsson, Cisco and ZTE - currently identified as the Top Five. MTN plans to examine those companies, along with over 80 other suppliers each quarter, to provide timely and useful “market share” reports to those media groups that might require it. The first edition, “Telecom’s biggest vendors in 2018” will be released publicly on April 4.

There’s no hard and fast rule, but having three to five vendors actively competing per technology segment is a good target. That’s not being achieved. Many segments are more concentrated than this.”
