This show delves into the yet to be fully uncovered world of abstract painting in China.
Blue Hill Fine Arts has curated 15 paintings from well-known Chinese artist, Yan Jiang. Born, raised and currently living in China, Yan Jiang shares his unique perspective on abstract painting not only through his skill, but also through his temperament. Some of the paintings they exhibit show a more traditional abstract style while others combine an abstract and figurative perspective. Whether short or long brush strokes, dark or bright colors, swirls or straight edges, he creates unique contemporary Chinese art.
“During my recent visit to China I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Yan Jiang. I love how he is so focused on his own feelings and not worried about whether others like what he paints,” said Steve Lawrence, President and Partner at Blue Hill Fine Arts.
