After an eight-year hiatus, Back to Life Tour headliner Menice has re-emerged from a Billboard Top-200 career to land back on the charts with the highly appropriate “Back to Life” featuring J Passamonte, somewhat of an homage to his comeback. Charting at #1 on various performance charts, including Digital Radio Tracker (DRT) for five straight weeks, Menice has seen a rapid rise since the recent release. He has joined artists like Post Malone, Future, YBN Cordae, Ariana Grande, and Selena Gomez in the Top-40 on Digital Radio Trackers Top 200 Radio Airplay Chart. "Back to Life" is continuing its monumental rise, being featured on XM radio rotations, via Hip Hop Nation and Music Choice. Additionally, Back To Life is receiving daily spins on major FM radio stations across the country, primarily in major markets like California, New York, and New Jersey, including major FM radio Power NY and Hot 97.
Menice was recently quoted on his disappearance from music, “I had a top-ten selling single, a tour bus and was performing all across the United States. I wasn't seeing the fruits of the record, nor am I sure who was; I needed some time to myself to reflect and to create. What I figured out was that, In this industry the only strategy that works is investing in yourself, and with Back to Life, I am all in!”
Menice, was born in Atlanta, GA and has charted internationally, accompanying some of the greatest musicians in the world on Billboard's Top 100. Throughout his young career, he has seen many accolades including “Artist of the Year,” presented by WBLK and Jive Records in 2010; soon to be followed by international radio play on FM formats that had him charting top-10 on Media Base and BDS charts with "Stay On My Hustle" featuring Sunih Reed, and "Sweet Like Candy," which also saw success on Billboard's Hot R&B and Hip Hop Single Sales and Billboard's Top 200. Menice has had placements with Universal Production Music (United Kingdom) for TV and film.
Menice is a military veteran who fought for his country and the freedom he expresses in his music; designed to survive any battle, as he has proven with his relentless will to overcome adversity. He continues to plant his flag claiming victory over each and every hardship. His very existence is the true definition that defines the saying “from the bottom to the to.” Once homeless and lost in his youth, Menice fought his way to becoming an accomplished mainstream artist with an honest understanding of the music industry.
“I believe that with the odds stacked against you, you can re-deal your own destiny. I'm living my American dream. I've had my life torn apart, but you piece it back together and stand fast for the next challenge. That’s just who I am, Back to Life, and I’m here to stay this time around.” - Menice
Up next for Menice and coinciding with the tour, he has teamed backup with J Passamonte to bring another hit record from MBranded and J Pass Productions, releasing "Here We Go" in the coming weeks; “Here We Go” features Joell Ortiz and Sara Passamonte. 2019 is shaping up to be quite to year for Menice.
