)-- 450 insurance industry professionals attended the Satellite Agency Network (SAN) Group, Inc.’s Annual Business Meeting on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA. Meeting content supported the needs of digital agencies and those that still need to transition. The one-day event featured workshops, panel discussions, a trade show, luncheon, and a keynote address from Connie Podesta, a Hall of Fame speaker, award-winning author, and human relations expert.
SAN member agency owners and staff benefited from idea exchanges and networking with insurance company partners and executives, vendors, and industry subject matter experts. Member agencies learned about evolving expectations of clients, integrating digital capabilities into the agency sales and operations model, and the adoption of smart technology.
“The SAN Group’s Annual Meeting is a great opportunity to discuss key issues and changes impacting insurance agencies today,” said Matt Masiello, SAN President and CEO. “Running an efficient digital agency will provide a better client experience and keep agents competitive for years to come.”
SAN member agencies had the opportunity to participate in eight workshops focused on the successful agency of the future — one that evolves to the digital space in addition to traditional brick and mortar. The meeting’s keynote address, “Stand Out from the Crowd,” was delivered by renowned author and Comedienne, Connie Podesta. Podesta’s engaging presentation gave a new perspective on how to lead, sell, and manage to balance life and success simultaneously.
SAN’s trade show featured 55 booths hosted by sponsors of the event, including Platinum Sponsors: The Hartford, Liberty Mutual, Travelers, Safeco Insurance, Nationwide, MetLife, Berkshire Hathaway GUARD, Concord Group Insurance, Quincy Mutual Group, Risk Placement Services, Chubb, CRC Group, and EZLynx.
