)-- About "The Fires of Cruden Bay":
After a row with her husband, Emily finds an old bracelet in the water at Cruden Bay beach. She starts to have vivid dreams where she is reliving the life of Fraida, a young Viking woman who is the niece of King Svein Forkbeard of Denmark and cousin to Canute.
The Vikings are preparing to do battle with King Malcolm ll of Scotland before they set sail to invade England. Emily starts to discover the secrets of Cruden Bay and of the man she married. As what she thought she knew about her husband comes crashing down around her, she finds herself in Fraida’s world and in mortal danger. The only thing that can save them both is their connection that spans a thousand years.
The story explores North Aberdeenshire and its rich history, from Fyvie Castle to Slains Castle on the coast above Cruden Bay beach. With some help from the ghosts of Fyvie Castle, the Peterhead fishermen and Fraida, Emily sets about trying to foil her husband’s evil plans.
