Nutrimedy Raises $2.15 Million in Seed Funding Round

Nutrimedy, a Massachusetts-based company focused on clinical nutrition, recently announced that it closed its seed funding round with $2.15 million dollars from various investors.

Boston, MA, May 23, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Nutrimedy is a B2B digital health platform founded by Jonah Cohen, MD and Karolina Starczak, RD LDN to improve access to evidence-based nutrition care. Most chronic conditions are either caused or exacerbated by poor diet, yet for the 60% of the adult population with a chronic condition, access to clinical nutrition experts is a major barrier to appropriate care. Clinical nutrition has been used in inpatient healthcare settings for decades and has been shown to improve outcomes and reduce cost for over 50 conditions such as heart failure, diabetes, and cystic fibrosis. Nutrimedy improves the outdated care delivery model to connect patients with experts and provide the needed intervention, education, and monitoring right at their fingertips.

"Nutrimedy truly has the potential to revolutionize how we deliver nutrition care and our team could not be more proud to have the support of our investors. We are looking forward to the next chapter and the opportunity to transform the current industry," said Karolina Starczak, CEO of Nutrimedy. In late February, Nutrimedy also took home first place in the Boston Scientific Connected Patient Challenge, garnering them $30,000 of in-kind services from both Boston Scientific and Google Cloud.
