Student Leaders to Attend Children with Diabetes Friends for Life Conference with the College Diabetes Network
Orlando, FL, July 15, 2019 --(PR.com)-- The College Diabetes Network has chosen two student leaders from their NextGen Leadership Program to attend the Children with Diabetes Friends for Life Conference.
The Friends for Life Conference Conference in Orlando, Florida from July 16-21, 2019, brings together clinicians, researchers, physicians, adults, children, and families affected by diabetes to learn the most current information in diabetes care.
CDN chooses its NextGen young adults to attend diabetes conferences to represent the young adult voice in the sector and gain experience in their desired career fields. While at conferences, these young adults are able to attend sessions, network with those in the diabetes sector, and connect with mentors. At this year’s conference, these students will be on two panels speaking about the transition to adult life, one with a parent audience and one with a peer audience.
The NextGen Leadership Program is designed to harness exceptional talent, and leaders within our network are able to fulfill their interest in serving the diabetes community and experience fewer barriers entering the professional diabetes sector through this program.
