Miami-Dade School Board Invests in Websites That Are Accessible to Americans with Disabilities

Local Web Design Agency Chosen as a Pre-approved Vendor.

Miami, FL, July 21, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Inreact is 1 of the 20 selected agencies on the pre-approved vendor list for all 392 Miami-Dade Public Schools.

The pre-approved vendor list was created to streamline the quoting process for Miami-Dade Public Schools (MDCPS) need for responsive and more accessible websites as per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design. These standards state that all electronic and information technology must be accessible to people with disabilities.

“The internet is the main resource for most of the population in Miami-Dade. Websites need to be ADA-compliant to ensure that all audiences can easily retrieve information,” says Inreact’s president, Ann Nuñez.

Previously MDCPS invested $318,940 on website development contracts during the 2017-2018 fiscal year. This coming year, the Procurement Management Services has budgeted a total estimated amount of $3,000,000 for the initial contract term and an amount not to exceed $1,000,000 for each subsequent one (1) year extension period.
