Los Angeles, CA, July 22, 2019 --(PR.com)-- JFA Films is proud to announce "The Real Casino" is live on the prestigious Criterion Channel & coming to Las Vegas as part of the Silver State Film Fest in Sept. 5-8. "The Real Casino," initially started as a commissioned short film for Split Screen for IFC/ Bravo, where "The Blair Witch Project" and "American Movie" originated. The show was created by Indie Film gurus, John & Janet Pierson (Janet is currently chief executive of the SxSW Film Festival in Austin.)

The full- length version "Back Home Years Ago: The Real Casino" aired on Image Union, WTTW Channel 11, the Chicago PBS affiliate. It has screened in some 25 festivals worldwide and is included on the TF 1 Collector’s Edition 3 disc DVD of Casino in France and all French speaking territories. It was released in the U.S. on DVD with several versions, deleted scenes, and extra interview footage and is available at Amazon, Fandor, Netflix, and slew of online retailers. The film has appeared on IFC, Bravo, PBS, Time-Warner cable, Moviola cable in Canada, as well as being licensed by French media giant TF 1, Delta Airlines, and Air Canada. The Real Casino is an impressionistic, de- glamorization of the Hollywood mob film, removing a bit of the sheen B-independent.com said, "it's scarier than anything in Casino or GoodFellas....", efilmcritic described it as, "a primer for Indie filmmakers..."

Alexandre is developing the aforementioned short film into a feature called WiseAcre with the attachment of Jonas Ball (The Killing of John Lennon, The Blind, and The Objective), and has written several other narrative scripts, some at studio level.

Alexandre is also in negotiations to screen his feature documentary "Sex, Drugs, Design: Warriors of the Discotheque" about the legendary Starck Club in Dallas, TX. It wouldn't be an understatement to say The Starck Club was not only ground zero for the popularization of ecstasy, the whole rave scene, but even lit the fuse for the entire Billion dollar, DJ driven, EDM (Electronic Dance Music) scene which is obviously so prevalent in Las Vegas. Alexandre says, "Of course, we're thrilled to finally screen "The Real Casino" in Las Vegas proper, it'd seem a slam dunk but this is the first physical screening in 'Vegas. Add to it a feature about the genesis of the whole DJ driven EDM scene, then you have a real lethal one two punch!"
