New York, NY, July 24, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Mentorship. It’s something that every nurse needs, and yet, you will not find it in every nursing program. The Nurses Pub is a nonprofit organization that specially curates relationships between leaders in healthcare and our future nurses all around the world. The “Mix & Mentor emPOWER Hour” is positioned as a pinnacle event, a pivotal career move, and an essential elevation into the next level of your career.

The beautiful Hotel 50 Bowery in Manhattan’s lower east side is the generous hosting sponsor on Thursday, August 29th, join in a night of networking and mentorship, designed with you in mind. The venue will be buzzing with aspiring nurses, students, entrepreneurs, industry tastemakers, and your peers in healthcare. The goal? To provide future nurses with the support of international mentors and to build long-lasting relationships vital to career development. The event will run from 5:30PM to 8:30PM and is open to registrants of all demographics.

"Our main focus at 'The Nurses Pub' organization is to assist students from underserved communities to become successful registered nurses and to bring awareness to others about the amazing profession. It's all about reaching back and building others," states Mona Clayton, MSN, RN, CEO and founder of the Nurses Pub.

It takes a village, and a village of nurses is about as powerful as it gets. With generous support from Chamberlain University, Emerald Health Services, Starbucks, and other local businesses, emPOWER Hour is excited to foster an experience that encourages and energizes a community of support. Attendees can come with questions, and leave with invaluable insights on not just how to break into the industry, but thrive within it. Guests will enjoy one-on-one development, with live music on a balcony of gorgeous city skyline views and light refreshments as they mingle with the best and the brightest in the field.

This is not your typical mentoring program. The Nurses Pub is special because it offers support designed specifically for uncommon demographics in the nursing field. Replacing obstacles with resources, emPOWER Hour will assure you that a career in nursing is possible--regardless of single parent status, socioeconomic situation, or gender identity. A strong network of social capital is knitted together to provide services such as workshops, seminars, motivational reading materials, mentoring, and human resource development.

New York City’s debut emPOWER Hour is the first iteration of a vast series to come. In November, The Nurses Pub will host their largest fundraising event yet, with a stunning seaside gala in Los Angeles, California, welcoming the support of major investors from around the globe.
