Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Mid-Western Region Teens Elect 2019-2020 Regional Executive Teen Board

Jack and Jill Mid-Western Region announces its 2019-20 Teen Executive Board under the leadership of Edward Cotton V of Ypsilanti, MI Chapter as Regional Teen President. Also elected were Teen Vice President Noah S. Laramore, of the Circle City, IN Chapter, Regional Teen Treasurer Dorian Xavier Jones of the Milwaukee Chapter, WI Chapter, Regional Teen Secretary Joshua Pryor of the St. Louis, MO Chapter and Cole Clark of the Detroit, MI Chapter as Nominating Chair.

Cincinnati, OH, August 12, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Edward Cotton V, a senior at Salem High School in Canton, MI, is the 2019-2020 Teen President of the Mid-Western Region for Jack and Jill of America, Inc.

Edward Cotton V, a member of the Ypsilanti Chapter, assumed the role at the 2019 Mid-Western Region’s teen leadership conference in June, hosted by the Windy City Chapter at Loyola University, Chicago, IL. He will serve for a year as Teen President of the region and represent the Mid-Western region on the National Teen Executive Board. He succeeds Stephen Spence, of the Windy City chapter, who will be attending Howard University in Washington, DC this fall.

“I would strive to ensure that Jack and Jill would be a safe place for all individuals. There would be no barriers of gender, sexuality, or mental illness,” said President Cotton during his campaign. “Every single one of you (teens) and your voices matter, and you all deserve to be heard.”

Also elected to the Regional Teen Executive Board at the conference were Regional Teen Vice President, Noah S. Laramore, he will be a Senior this fall at University High School in Carmel, IN and member of the Circle City, IN Chapter, Regional Teen Treasurer Dorian Xavier Jones is a rising junior, attends University School of Milwaukee and member of the Milwaukee Chapter, WI Chapter, Regional Teen Secretary Joshua Pryor will be a senior at Chaminade College Preparatory School, St. Louis, MO this fall, and a member of the St. Louis, MO Chapter, Regional Teen Foundation Chair Aaron S. Brown will be a senior at Oak Park and River Forest High School in Oak Park, IL and is a member of the Western Cook County, IL Chapter and Teen Nominating Chair Cole Clark is a junior this fall at Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills, MI and is a member of the Detroit, MI Chapter.

The outgoing officers in addition to immediate Past Teen President Spence of the Windy City Chapter, IL include Past Vice President Caroline Whitfield of the Oakland County Chapter, Past Secretary Veronica Goldstein of the South Suburban Chicago Chapter, IL, Past Treasurer Richard Chandler of the Derby City Chapter, Past Foundation Chair Kira Jones of the Ypsilanti, MI Chapter and Past Nominating Chair Juliana Hand of the Indianapolis, IN Chapter.

This year’s teen leadership conference was attended by more than 800 attendees across the Mid-Western region. The next regional teen conference is scheduled for next summer at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. The theme for the 2019-2020 teen leadership conference will be - Embracing Our Legacy...
