The Miley Legal Group Announces the "Pay It Forward" Scholarship for College Students

The Miley Legal Group announces a new scholarship aimed at encouraging college students to share the impact that volunteering and community involvement has had on their lives. This $1,500 scholarship will be awarded during this coming Spring semester.

Morgantown, WV, August 29, 2019 --(PR.com)-- With college students heading back to class this month, paying for that education is now the primary concern for parents across the country. To help reduce the burden for one student, The Miley Legal Group has created a scholarship to highlight the importance of giving back to your community while reaching your career goals.

The Pay It Forward scholarship, aimed at college students across the country, was set up to reward volunteerism and the sense of “making your community a better place.” Through a 750-word essay, applicants are asked to describe how giving their time to others in their community has directly impacted their life. One lucky college student will receive a $1,500 scholarship to use towards their education.

“Recognizing and supporting extraordinary volunteers in the community has always been at the forefront of what The Miley Legal Group stands for,” said Tim Miley, owner of The Miley Legal Group. “Through our Celebrating Volunteer program, we have acknowledged many volunteers that work to better our community every day, but with this scholarship we wanted to recognize college students anywhere for their dedication to their communities.”

To be eligible for the Pay It Forward scholarship, the student must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university. Students who are high school seniors or soon-to-be GED graduates who are already enrolled in a university or college level program are also eligible to apply. Students must show good academic standing by holding a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The deadline to apply is November 30, 2019, as the funds will be released for the Spring semester.

"I look forward to seeing the impact our college students are making in their communities through their essays,” said Miley. "I encourage anyone eligible to apply."
