World Affairs Forum Celebrates Diplomacy and the Art of Getting Things Done

Stamford, CT, November 01, 2019 --(PR.com)-- The World Affairs Forum is launching a series of social events promoting awareness, diplomacy and the art of getting things done as essential life skills. Events will build upon its non-partisan speaker series which brings influential world leaders, authors and experts to our community to share their stories.

Their kickoff event will be World Game Night at Blackstone's Steakhouse on November 12 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

The World Affairs Forum has a compelling message for everyone in the community: Globalization continues to accelerate with technology breaking down national and cultural barriers.  Diplomatic skills and global awareness are more important than ever.

In response to this reality, the Forum provides a non-partisan space to hear stories of diplomacy and leadership, while creating conversations with local residents. Speakers not only share insights about what is happening in the world, but they share their successes and failures in analyzing complexity and initiating collaboration and change.

"World Affairs Forum is excited to respond to our community's need to know more about the world and how to shape it," say Consulting Director, Patricia Rattray. "Local professionals and academics view global awareness as essential to innovation, strategic planning and effective management. Stories about complex social, security and economic issues can inform management decisions at work and in our communities."

Diplomacy and the Art of Getting Things Done is the central theme of our social events which will include workshops, discussions and game nights. Everyone is invited to the table. On game nights they play in teams with multiple choice questions so you don't need to be an expert on the world to participate.

World Game Night is on November 12 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Blackstone's Steakhouse, 101 Broad Street, Stamford, CT 06901. Admission is free with 2 item minimum order. There is ample parking in the Bedford Street Garage at 119 Broad Street.

The Stamford chapter of the World Affairs Forum serves Fairfield and Westchester Counties and is a member of the World Affairs Councils of America founded in 1946 to increase awareness of world affairs. For more information go to WorldAffairsForum.org.
