V-Ray Goes Interactive

Sofia, Bulgaria, April 17, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Chaos Software announced the development of its V-Ray RT interactive rendering technology based on the architecture of its widely popular V-Ray rendering engine.

The technology is based on a highly optimized raytracing core and is capable of generating fully raytraced images with global illumination at the fraction of the time required for normal rendering. At the same time, all the complexity of V-Ray materials and lights is supported for an accurate preview of the final rendering.

V-Ray RT is aimed at reducing the times for generating final images by optimizing the process of fine-tuning scene lighting and materials. To achieve this, the system follows the user's actions and continually updates a preview of the final rendering. Distributed rendering is also supported so that multiple render servers can be utilized to increase the interactive performance.

First public versions of this technology are expected to be released later this year. No pricing information is available at this time.
