MHAworks Wins Renovation Project with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools

Charlotte, NC, April 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- MHAworks, a Carolinas-based architecture firm, has been selected to renovate Amay James School, a unit of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System. David Clinton, Education Design Principal for MHAworks, will lead the project team of the $4.3 million renovation.

The project will convert the existing Amay James Pre-K Center into a K-5 Elementary School, adding a six-classroom addition, as well as upgrading existing facilities, addressing accessibility issues and meeting current System standards. Amay James School is located off of Amay James Avenue near West Boulevard in southwest Charlotte.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is the latest North Carolina school system to work with the firm’s established Education Design Studio. Other school system clients include Columbus, Brunswick, Alamance-Burlington, Greene, Orange and Durham.
