Technology Merger Creates One of West Michigan's Largest Software and Web Development Companies: Foxbright

CordesTech and H2ML merge, expand solution offerings, add 21st Century jobs, and increase high-tech assets in region. Two of West Michigan’s premier technology companies, CordesTech of Grand Rapids and H2ML of Muskegon, merged recently to create Foxbright, one of the region’s largest and most capable information technology firms.

Grand Rapids, MI, March 23, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Two of West Michigan’s premier technology companies, CordesTech of Grand Rapids and H2ML of Muskegon, merged recently to create Foxbright, one of the region’s largest and most capable information technology firms. “The merger was a natural progression,” says Rob Huisingh, Vice President of Sales and Marketing and founding partner of H2ML. “We’d worked together extensively over the past two years. Our core competencies complement each other’s, and together we’ve expanded our capabilities. As Foxbright, we help companies leverage appropriate software and web technologies to generate sales, improve customer service and streamline business processes.”

The merger also more closely aligns Foxbright with the strategic economic goals of West Michigan. “The focus on economic sustainability by attracting life sciences and other high-tech enterprises to the area resonates strongly for us,” says Catherine Ettinger, President of Foxbright and formerly a partner in CordesTech. “We are passionate about attracting knowledge workers to the area and preparing young people in West Michigan for 21st century jobs by encouraging high-tech programs in the education system.”

Foxbright plans to stay in the West Michigan region for the long term and is growing at a rapid rate. “The demand for Foxbright has been very gratifying,” says Huisingh. “We are working with a variety of exciting organizations: the Muskegon Area and Kent Intermediate School Districts, the City of Grand Rapids, Smiths Aerospace, BASIC, Med-1, and the United Way, just to name a few.”

Foxbright’s growth is mirroring that of the clients they serve. Ettinger says, “Our clients are growing, and as they grow, their processes change. A $5 million company has a much different operating rhythm than does a $50 million company. Anticipating and managing those changes with appropriate software and information technology can be the difference between profitability and failure. As our clients grow, it is very important that they manage their software and web development locally. Because we are local, we are more accountable. We spend time on site, learning the organization and understanding what pressures and opportunities our clients face.”

Foxbright specializes in helping health care, manufacturing, education, and professional services organizations improve operations by creating and leveraging appropriate software and web technologies. Ettinger comments: “The way organizations collect and distribute information, internally and externally, is of key importance regardless of the type of industry.”
