Make-A-Wish is Supported by GenieKnows.com to Make Wishes Come True

GenieKnows.com and Stephen Noton have teamed up to help raise awareness and funds for Make-A-Wish Atlantic Provinces Canada to fulfill the wish of Britney, a New Brunswick child, to meet NASCAR racing driver Tony Stewart.

Halifax, Canada, April 30, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Make-A-Wish Atlantic Provinces grants wishes, creating hope and happiness for children with life-threatening illnesses. It is part of the largest not-for-profit wish granting organization in the world, serving 32 countries with international affiliates on five continents.

One of these children is Britney who, at the age of 4, underwent major heart surgery and got hooked on NASCAR racing during her 10-month recovery. Soon she dreamed of meeting her favorite NASCAR driver - Tony Stewart.

Stephen Noton hopes to raise funds to pay for Britney’s wish by driving 12,000km in his smart car around America. His trek starts and finishes in Halifax, Nova Scotia and includes competing in the 2008 Cannonball/One Lap of America event.

"I've wanted to compete in the Cannonball One Lap for quite some time now” said Noton from the GenieKnows.com offices in Halifax today. "Now I'm doing the race and hoping to make Britney's wish come true in the process.”

Stephen's goal is to raise $10,000 for Make-A-Wish Atlantic Provinces Canada to fund Britney's wish. GenieKnows.com will commit up to $2,000 with the hope that other donors will also contribute and make Britney's wish become a reality.
