Rhode Island’s Got Talent Contest Winner to Sing National Anthem or Toss Out First Pitch at Pawtucket Red Sox Game

Bristol, RI, May 09, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The 2008 Rhode Island’s Got Talent show, presented by The East Bay Chamber of Commerce, announced today that in addition to a cash prize of $1,000, The Winner of Rhode Island’s Got Talent will either perform the National Anthem (if singing is their talent) or toss out the first pitch at a Pawtucket Red Sox Baseball Club game during the 2009 season.

“We’re excited to have the winner of Rhode Island’s Got Talent either sing the National Anthem or toss out the first pitch at a game in our 2009 season – the winner represents local talent and this will absolutely delight Pawsox fans in attendance." Said Augusto "Cookie" Rojas, Jr., General Sales Manager, Pawtucket Red Sox Baseball Club.

Rhode Island’s Got Talent plans to be an action-packed event showcasing Rhode Island talent – including some of the areas best performers. The Event will take place on August 16, 2008 at Barrington High School and $1,750 in cash prizes will be awarded to the winners. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the Women’s Resource Center of Newport and Bristol Counties.
