Transthread Launches Tech - Couture Line

TransThread launches clothing line featuring patented technology with its flagship neon glow jackets at a series of celebrity studded events in Hollywood.

Hollywood, CA, May 12, 2008 --(PR.com)-- TransThread clothing is here to revolutionize the underground performance industry with its exclusive line and patented technology. The brand’s flagship product is a retro-futuristic track jacket with electro-threads integrated into the garments that glow neon to transform the setting. The result is a spectacular vision of glowing dancers, DJs and performance artists, the likes of which have never been seen before.

The company is the brainchild of Inventor and Marketing Strategist Karl Boehm. “We have an exciting opportunity with TransThread, to serve as a bridge between music, performance and the audience. “We’ve been developing this tech-couture clothing for over 3 years, and a lot of thought and passion has gone into this brand, the technology, and the future. You might say we’ve been dreaming in electro!”

TransThread has held several successful launch events at trendy LA nightspots creating quite a buzz in the industry. Celebrity fans in attendance included electro fan Kanye West, Danity Kane, Jenna Jameson, Mena Suvari, Raven-Symone, Ray J, and DJ Rocky-Rock. The designs are also slated to make an appearance on an upcoming episode of the hit reality dance show So You Think You Can Dance. "I think the TransThread jackets are brilliant!” says the show’s stylist Soyon “I can't wait to see the dancers move in them on the show."

Celebrities aside, these launch events have become the go-to hot spots for LA’s tastemakers and performers. One event included a choreographed performance by glowing break-dancers, and go-go dancers that had the crowd mesmerized recalls Boehm; “The break-dance segment was reminiscent of the movie Tron with neon-lit flips, spins and glowing go-go dancers in the background also wearing the neon jackets.”

The most recent event was held as a fundraiser, supporting the Foundation for Jamiel Shaw, which was a tremendous success. “These events are a great way to bring the product to the people” says Boehm “Since the jackets are designed for dancers and performers, we want to bring these garments to the places where our clients feel comfortable and are in their own element”

TransThread Clothing is a lifestyle brand that stands for the Thread of Change. The clothing is designed for performers including, DJs, dancers and performance artists. The jackets are sold exclusively at www.transthread.com. Prices start at $300.
