Three-Year-Old Julian Pavone, The World’s Youngest Drummer, Rocks The Oprah Winfrey Show

Bloomfield Hills, MI, May 16, 2008 --(PR.com)-- At only three years old, Julian Pavone, the “World’s Youngest Drummer,” experienced a musician’s dream gig, performing for Oprah Winfrey and her millions of worldwide viewers on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Julian, who at just 19 months old began making headlines around the world with his talents as a drummer, appeared on Oprah’s “The World’s Most Talented Kids,” episode on May 12.

Julian received a standing ovation for his performance of “Brick House” by the Commodores.

Julian’s mom, Lisa Pavone said, “Being on The Oprah Winfrey Show was an amazing experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Meeting Oprah was unbelievable. She was genuine, warm and so encouraging to the children. It is not difficult to understand her show’s place at the top of the ratings!”

The Oprah Winfrey Show has reigned as the number one talk show for 21 consecutive seasons. Produced by Harpo Productions, Inc., the show is seen by an estimated 46 million viewers a week in the United States and is broadcast internationally in 134 countries.

Considered the “Tiger Woods of the Music Industry,” Julian’s talents were introduced to the world by William Winfield, III, founder of United Drumline Entertainment, who auditioned and offered a contract to the drummer when he was only 15 months old. At 20 months, Julian recorded a CD, “Go Baby,” with legendary bassist, Ralphe Armstrong.

Last year, Julian was honored at the Hard Rock Café in Cleveland, Ohio, with “The 2007 Rock & Roll Lifetime Achievement Award”. He was also featured in the 2007 Ripley’s Believe It or Not! The Remarkable Revealed for his extraordinary talent and achievements.

Julian has appeared on 25 TV shows such as Good Morning America, Martha Stewart, Inside Edition, MSNBC, WGN, Fox News Dayside, and WKYC’s Good Company.

He has performed live on numerous radio stations, for the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers, at a VIP party for the Chicago Cubs season home opener, at the House of Blues, at the Cleveland Grand Prix Opening ceremonies, and at the NBA semi-finals for the Detroit Pistons.

Julian has also starred in a television pilot, “Finding Julian’s Band,” created by Rocky Seprino and produced by Harmonie Network Productions, and was the subject of a Korean documentary produced by Seoul Broadcasting Systems.
Sabian Cymbal Company and Vic Firth Drum Stick Company have awarded Julian with full artist endorsements as has Innovation Drum Company, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Steve Badalament owns Innovation Drum Company, which builds drum sets for only the most talented drummers such as Beatle Ringo Starr, Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones, Chris “Daddy” Dave of Erykah Badu and Lenny White of Return to Forever. Innovation Drum Company is currently building a custom drum set for Julian.

Julian is currently working on his sophomore CD, with award-winning producer Michael J. Powell. He receives musical instruction from Francesco Cavallini of the Flint Institute of Music; Dom Famularo, “Drumming’s Global Ambassador,” Ralphe Armstrong, Michael J. Powell and William Winfield, III.

Julian celebrated his fourth birthday on May 14, two days after his Oprah appearance. He is finishing his first year of prekindergarten at University Liggett School in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan. Joseph P. Healey, head of the school, said one of Liggett's major objectives is “to work to let children achieve their passions and we have been delighted to help Julian in that regard.

“He is enormously talented and we have been impressed, like others, by his talents and his gifts. He and the rest of the Pavone family is an integral part of the Liggett family.”
