ISM: to Celebrate the "Best in Show"

This event is a friendly art competition that will allow student artists to show their art work. This art show will give local students a chance to see what a professional gallery experience is all about.

Long Beach, CA, May 17, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The art world can put what they deem relevant on the main stage. Critics can tell the viewers what they feel is important and necessary to the art scene. It isn't very often that the masses are permitted to give their opinions- ISM: gallery is asking their visitors to speak their minds. On Saturday, May 31, ISM: gallery is giving their guests the right to vote on the artist they feel is the "Best in Show."

This friendly art competition will give local artists an opportunity to shine outside of their respected schools. Artists from a Junior College, a State School and a Private University will exhibit their work. Each artist will have his or her work displayed at the ISM: gallery in the Koo's Art Center located at 540 East Broadway in Long Beach at 7 p.m. While enjoying the art, visitors will be allowed to vote for their favorite artist. The winner will be revealed at www.ISMcommunity.org.

This is more than just an art show; it is an experience that will afford the winner the ability to be viewed as more than just a student and as more than just an artist, but as a member of the art community as a whole. The "Best in Show" gives each artist his or her introduction to the professional world of art. The show allows artists to mingle with other creative people in a neutral, open-minded, and welcoming environment.
