REI Systems Attains CMMI Level 3 Certification for Systems and Software Engineering

The rating is conferred on companies that have established well-defined, repeatable, and effective organizational standards for project management, software engineering, and quality assurance, while maintaining a focus on continuous process improvement.

Conformance with the 18 process areas prescribed by the SEI CMMI Maturity Level 3 was appraised using the CMMI Standard Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI). The SCAMPI method involves the examination of many types of evidence, as well as interviews with program leaders, quality assurance and configuration management personnel, and organization and project practitioners to demonstrate standard processes are being followed. The evaluation was conducted by a team led by Karen McKeown, an independent, SEI authorized lead appraiser from ProcessWorks, Inc., an SEI Partner based in Rockville, Maryland.
