Graeme Swanson, Capturing the Passing Scene at Agora Gallery

The Agora Gallery is proud to present Graeme Swanson in United in Art. Scheduled to run from June 3rd through June 24th, the collection will feature a captivating selection of Graeme Swanson's independent style.

Chelsea, NY, May 30, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Agora Gallery is proud to present Graeme Swanson in United in Art – an Exhibition of Fine Art from England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

About Graeme Swanson:
Whether creating drawings, screen prints, acrylics on paper, oils on canvas, or etchings, Graeme Swanson’s independent style shines through. In his paintings chalky pastel shades agglomerate to produce quasi-abstract representations of earth and sky, as subtle geometric planes and lines mingle with the scene. Swanson’s interest is in what he calls “the essence and atmosphere of a landscape.” “To me, colours are emotions that are conjured up by seeing a place in a particular light, at a particular time of year,” he says. “I also like to record influences such as history, land utilization, change, archaeological sites, architectural designs, natural effects, weather and nature’s moods.”

For a quarter-century Graeme Swanson has been exhibiting his art throughout his native Scotland and as far abroad as Chicago and the former Yugoslavia, including as a regular contributor to the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh and to the Aberdeen Artists Society Annual Exhibition.
