Pawfriendly Landscapes donates to a Fundraiser for Chief Payne and his family. The Wheat Ridge Fire Department members hosted a Pancake Breakfast and Fundraiser event on Saturday, May 31, 2008, to support Fire Chief James Payne who was critically injured following a fall at his home on April 5, 2008. Chief Payne remains in critical condition in the ICU at a Denver Metro hospital.

Golden, CO, June 02, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Pawfriendly Landscapes of Golden, Colorado, has donated a complete pet friendly landscape design, two pet friendly landscape consults and one autographed book, "Pawfriendly Landscapes - How to Share the the Turf When Your Backyard Belongs to Barney."

In honor of Chief Payne and his family, the Wheat Ridge Fire Department members hosted a Pancake Breakfast and Fundraiser event on Saturday, May 31, 2008, to support Fire Chief James Payne who was critically injured following a fall at his home on April 5, 2008. Chief Payne remains in critical condition in the ICU at a Denver Metro hospital.

The Pancake Breakfast was held at the Wheat Ridge Fire Department’s Station 1, located at 3880 Upham Street, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033. Breakfast was served from 7:30-10am is complimentary, however donations were accepted. The morning event also included a “Smoke-house” and “Jump-castles” for all ages.

That evening, Chief Payne’s Fundraiser, was held at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, located at 4005 Kipling Street, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033, will run from 5:00pm – 10:00pm. Tickets were available at the door, the cost was $20 per person (admission will be all inclusive). The event represented booths from many of the Wheat Ridge area restaurants, along with a silent auction and many give-a-ways! Beer/wine/non-alcoholic beverages will also be served. All proceeds go directly to the Payne family.

The James Payne Assistance Fund has been established to help pay medical and related expenses. Anyone wishing to contribute to this fund may send donations to Wheat Ridge Fire directly or stop by any branch of Wells Fargo Bank.
