Ursula Edwards becomes the new owner, CEO & President of the newly named Urban Gospel Alliance International, Inc. About The Urban Gospel Alliance International, Inc. (UGAI) The Urban Gospel Alliance International, Inc. (UGAI) is a global Gospel music industry organization with a focus on the urban market.

Atlanta, GA, June 10, 2008 --(PR.com)-- On the international scene, the world is watching the unfolding saga as the Olympic Torch is passed from country to country, waiting to see a peaceful resolution. Well much can be said about the passing of torches within the executive ranks of Urban Gospel Alliance (UGA).

Founder and CEO, Curtis Jermany is stepping back to allow another to lead allowing him to play a more prominent role in other pursuits including family life. The Atlanta Georgia Chapter Representative, affectionately known as Ursula D. (Edwards, recently wed to 3HP Records label owner and UGA Maryland Representative, Troy Edwards) is taking the helm.

Ursula has filled numerous leadership roles within the organization since its inception. Starting as Marketing Director in 2003 then she was promoted to Chapter Director the following year. Within another year she would become National Marketing Director, National Representative Liaison, and eventually second in command, only to the CEO. All this while running her own business as CEO of Manifestation, LLC – an Atlanta based marketing and research firm.

UGA in its short 5-year history has created a climate of recognition, acceptance, and camaraderie. The leadership, chapter representatives, ministry partners, and other supporters, have worked hard to live up to its promise of bridging the gap, bringing light to the streets.

Though many challenges lay ahead Ursula and the entire UGA Team is committed to following through with Mr. Jermany's vision and the call of God. "Our first order of business, along with Curtis's guidance, will be to set a good foundation – we're going global…," states Ursula, "…The team will be meeting soon to discuss focus and direction, we want to hear from stakeholders to develop strong partnerships, and talk to artists to get their input."

The new CEO has big plans and is pledged to add a great deal more to an already great organization. A new web site is being designed for the coming months, more benefits and services for members, a new name—one that reflects the reach and scope of The Good News—Urban Gospel Alliance International, Inc., as well as a non-profit entity, the Urban Gospel Alliance Foundation, which will institute a scholarship program among other things.
