Beyond Blossoms Announces Online Easter Egg Hunt & New Hand-Tied Flowers

Wilmington, MA, April 08, 2006 --( Online flower company Beyond Blossoms ( has created a new form of the traditional Easter egg hunt. The company which sends flowers nationwide in hand-tied European-style flower bouquets will be placing the word “egg” in various places on its website. Three winners who correctly guess the total number of times “egg” appears will receive a free bouquet of flowers valued at $34.95.

Company cofounders Gina Maschek and Josh Grossman hope that the contest will spur their online audience to look further at all of the flower bouquets as well as many other features of the website – and have some fun at the same time. Gina says, “We like to think of ourselves as the Ben & Jerry’s of online flowers. We try to have fun with the website in many areas, such as our monthly flower picture contest, creative flower descriptions, and our flower blog. This is another way to interact with our customers and have fun with flowers!”

The company suggests that families can enjoy the contest together. The egg hunt starts on April 10th and ends on April 12th by 1:00 PM EST. Entries for the contest should be sent to (Any submissions before or after those dates will not be considered. Only one entry per person. No purchase necessary to participate.)

In addition to the contest, Beyond Blossoms has created new flower bouquets perfect for Easter. Some of the new designs include Feelin’ Good, a bouquet consisting of yellow and orange roses, Easter Bouquet, a flower arrangement with traditional white lilies and white roses, and Night and Day, a bouquet of tulips and iris which is perfect for the spring.

Beyond Blossoms began in 2003 when its cofounders had to write a business plan for an entrepreneurship class. What began as a local operation in the Boston area, is now a national company going up against stiff competition in the world of online flowers. The owners say they try to differentiate from others by having farm fresh flowers, low prices, great designs, and interactive features. They hope the Easter egg contest will reinforce their brand’s image with their customers. To participate in the contest or to send flowers, visit
