Among the highlights of the 2008 Summer Jewelry Auction is a platinum diamond gem brooch in the shape of a flower basket, starting at $8,000. The piece contains 25 round diamonds weighing approximately 5 cts., one large pear–shaped diamond (approx. 1.40 cts.), and variety of other diamonds and rubies. Joining the exquisite flower brooch is a beautiful 18 karat white gold sapphire panther brooch (approx. 12.88 cts.), starting at $5,000. The panther, stamped 750, sees through two emerald eyes and is adorned with pave-set sapphires. Also up for bid, an 18 karat white gold diamond sapphire fish brooch/pendant estimated to hammer at anywhere from $4,000 to $5,000. The Cantamessa, Italy signed piece boasts pave–set diamonds weighing about 2.28 cts., and 5.64 cts. of pave–set sapphires. Rounding out the highlights is a long uniform diamond clasp cultured pearl strand, priced to sell anywhere from $1,000 to $1,500, and a heavy 18 karat yellow gold link bracelet, stamped 750, weighing a massive 6.5 oz., starting at $4,000.
