Los Angeles, CA, April 11, 2006 --(PR.com)-- The jeans in dispute in the Naomi Campbell alleged assault have been identified as Chip & Pepper’s bestselling NIK jean (pictured right). An extra long super skinny jean with a 37” inseam, NIK has the length supermodels like Campbell crave and can be worn stacked by shorter women.

“We always knew we make amazing jeans that are worth fighting over,” said Chip Foster, designer of Chip & Pepper denim.  “We are flattered Naomi thought so too.”

Ironically, two years ago for NY Fashion Week Chip & Pepper made T-shirts for Naomi and her friends that said “Naomi Hit Me… And I Loved It” in reference to a 2001 incident in which her assistant claimed Campbell threw a phone at her in a Beverly Hills hotel. Naomi actually wore the shirt, and it has since spawned a slew of knock-offs.

Chip & Pepper have re-issued the shirts with a new twist. Instead of saying “And I loved it” the new shirt says “Naomi Hit Me… For My Chip & Pepper Denim.” The limited-run shirts are now available for $30 at Chip & Pepper’s flagship store in NoLita (Chip & Pepper NoLita 250 Mulberry St. (212) 343-4220).
