Registration Opens for AIA Michigan’s 16th Annual Educational Facilities Conference

Event to Focus on Green, Sustainable Design.

Traverse City, MI, June 20, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The American Institute of Architect Michigan (AIA Michigan) announced the opening of registration for its 16th Annual Educational Facilities Conference, Sept. 18-19 at the Grand Traverse Resort in Traverse City, Mich.

The Educational Facilities Conference is an annual event that provides school administrators, educational planners, architects, engineers, construction managers and other interested professionals with the latest information to assist in planning, designing, constructing and maintaining educational facilities.

Titled “Green, Sustainable Design…It’s the Smart Thing To Do,” this year’s event will focus on the challenges and solutions of creating green and sustainable schools. Attendance is limited to the first 320 registrants.

“Developing and renovating school facilities that are green and embrace sustainable concepts are not just hot-topic issues,” said Conference Organizing Committee Chair Ralph Moxley, AIA. “It is where educational buildings and the built industry are headed.”
