Cybernetic Light Online Magazine Launches on the Net

On August 1st, Cybernetic Light, an online Chrisitan youth magazine, launches on the web.

Raleigh, NC, June 29, 2008 --(PR.com)-- From the campus of Virginia Tech to the Amish school in Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania, the United States has borne tragedies recently that were unthinkable twenty years ago. Fear has become a way of life for many youth and young adults in our country. According to one report, 34 percent of middle school students and 20 percent of high school students admitted that they feared becoming victims of school violence. Depression among young people is on the rise. Suicide has become the third leading cause of death for teens behind accidents and homicide. There is an increasing sense of isolation among youth and young adults and positive role models have been scarce.

On August 1st 2008, Cybernetic Light will officially be launched on the web. The purpose of this online magazine is to present positive Christian role models from all walks of life. “Now more than ever, youth and young adults need a place where they can find positive role models who are willing to share the importance of their faith, family and community in their daily lives, not just comment on the current fashion trends,” offered Charles White, Editor-in-Chief of Cybernetic Light. “Virginia Tech and the Amish school shootings are just two of a myriad of events that have shown us that violence and despair are not things of the past on campuses throughout the United States.”

The site will house a variety of content including over 45 celebrity interviews originally found on the very successful, but now defunct, Person2Person Christian E-zine site as well as new interviews and other features such as music reviews and user generated content.

Past interviews have featured celebrities such as Lou Holtz (former head football coach for Notre Dame and the University Of South Carolina), Brandon Slay (2000 Olympic Gold Medallist in Wrestling), Dale Jarrett (champion NASCAR driver), Switchfoot (Grammy nominated and Dove award winning rock group), and Sara Evans (country music star).
