Amber Alert Issued for California Girl - Amber Ortiz (Age -11)

San Diego, CA, April 14, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Amber Ortiz has been missing since at 8 a.m. Officials said that she is 5 feet 1 inches tall and has a medium build. They have not yet released information about what she was wearing when she was last seen.

Authorities established a command post near the family's home in the 4100 block of 44th Street in the City Heights neighborhood.

Amber's mother said that she locked the door behind here when she went to a bakery at about 7:30 a.m. When she returned 10 minutes later, the door was open and the girl was missing. She said that the three other children in the house were still sleeping.

Detectives are interviewing Amber's 15-year-old boyfriend as part of the investigation. Police said that they were searching for the girl in the City Heights area.
