How to Develop a No-Quit-Go-for-It Attitude

Many parents wonder if it’s better for their child to gain confidence by staying in “top position” in sports and academics before moving them to a more challenging class. The answer is…it depends.

Gilbert, AZ, July 12, 2008 --( July 2008 is Determination Month as part of NAK Martial Art’s POWerful Words Character Development program, students will be learning and experiencing life changing lessons about Determination. In addition to all of the physical skills that they'll be developing, students will be discussing and practicing the following concepts that will help them to understand the benefits of being determined and the effect is has on themselves and everyone around them. Students will discover the answers to the following questions:

· What are my strengths and limitations? How do I use or overcome them?
· What are my needs, wants, and preferences? What drives me?
· How do I plan and set goals? What choices do I make?
· What are the risks and consequences of being determined versus lazy?

“Determined people typically have a clear understanding of their strengths, limitations, interests and needs. They use this understanding to make important decisions about their goals, evaluate their progress, make adjustments, and follow through to completion.” says Dr Robyn Silverman, NAK Martial Art’s child & adolescent expert, and creator of the POWerful Words Character Development program used at the facility.

Sal Banuelos, Professor of NAK Martial Arts says, "Determination is one of the key ingredients to success and a major part of our belief system here. We're honored to share these valuable life lessons with our students this month!" NAK Martial Art’s strong curriculum and the POWerful Words Character Development system provide our students opportunities that will give them what some might call, an unfair advantage in life. These lessons will remain with our students for the rest of their lives and we're thrilled to be involved with their positive development.” says Banuelos.

Sal Banuelos is the Professor of NAK Martial Art’s and has helped thousands of kids, teens, and adults to embrace a positive and healthy lifestyle.
