CrossComm Releases One of the First “Native” iPhone Games on iPhone 3G Launch Day

CrossComm releases Lumina, a simple memory game, as one of the first native iPhone applications to coincide with the launch of the new iPhone 3G. Originally released in June of 2007 as a web-based game, Lumina is now available for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Durham, NC, July 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- CrossComm, Inc. releases Lumina™, a simple but challenging game of memory. Designed specifically for the iPhone and iPod Touch (as well as the new iPhone 3G™) and available for purchase through the new App Store within iTunes, Lumina couples the iPhone’s innovative touchscreen interface with glistening graphics and soothing sound effects to deliver a mind-gripping casual gaming experience. “Without a doubt, the iPhone is the most promising mobile computing and communications platform in the marketplace today. We really wanted a game that was accessible for all audiences to be available on Day One” said Don Shin, CrossComm president and CEO. “Games like Lumina are as simple as they get, and can be a fun way for anyone to exercise their memory muscle.”

Lumina was originally released in June of 2007 to coincide with the release of Apple’s first generation iPhone. Initially offered as a web-based game, Lumina is now available as a native application: Apple recently opened up development to a select group of 3rd party developers in order to offer an initial list of applications on the iTunes App Store. CrossComm was selected to work with Apple as one of the first companies to offer a native iPhone game in time for the App Store’s launch.

Pricing and Availability: The Lumina game sells for $1.99 and is available for purchase exclusively through Apple’s newly launched iTunes App Store.
