FantasyFootballNerd.com Opens Site to Developers

Oshkosh, WI, July 17, 2008 --(PR.com)-- FantasyFootballNerd.com today announced the release of a free API (application programming interface) which is designed to allow third-party developers to integrate FantasyFootballNerd.com data directly into their own applications.

FantasyFootballNerd.com, a comparison fantasy football website, is the first metasearch engine for the estimated 18 million adults who participate in fantasy sports each year. Offering a comprehensive search engine that scours nearly 20 online fantasy football sites, FantasyFootballNerd.com provides cumulative rankings on more than 1,000 active NFL players.

"Opening up our search data so that anyone can use it however they want - is not only logical but central to our mission," said J. Joseph Dyken, creator behind the Nerd. "I'm very excited to see how the API is used. There are so many creative developers out there that I'm confident we'll see some genuine innovation."

FantasyFootballNerd.com offers 2 different integration options to add its fantasy football content to a website or application. Beginners can copy and paste a javascript snippet to display the latest rankings of NFL players.

Experts can utilize the XML API within their fantasy football applications, mash it up, or even create their own Nerd database. Both options are available free of charge.
