Plumbers to Ride Out the Recession, Says Train 4 Trade Skills

Despite the credit crunch, more and more people are wanting to enroll on blended learning plumbing courses with Train 4 Trade Skills.

Luton, United Kingdom, July 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Despite the credit crunch more and more people are opting for training for a traditional trade to weather the economic recession in Britain, according to Train 4 Trade Skills, the UK’s only plumbing training centre to train plumbers using a blend of coursework, practical training and unique PC based training in a virtual reality house.

The company, who have training centres in Southampton, Leeds and Guildford, is experiencing record levels of applicants wanting to enrol on its unique blended learning plumbing courses with no sign of a slow-down.

Train 4 Trade Skills’ marketing manager, Mike Head, said “Traditional methods of training plumbers rely on people being in a position to attend college or work for a pittance in an apprentice position. Our unique blended learning plumbing courses allow trainees to continue to work in their existing jobs while they train which is particularly attractive for people with talk of a recession as the credit crunch bites.

That is why we’re seeing such an influx of people now looking to take out an insurance against possible redundancy from their existing jobs. There’s been a dire shortage of plumbers for years and though the housing and construction market might be slowing down as Britain faces the threat of recession, there’s a real need for hands-on trades still and plumbers are in huge demand”.
