TutorABC Gifts NT$10M English Training to Empower 17,000+ Taiwan Firefighters
Active-duty firefighters can apply through their work IDs. Each participant is eligible for 100 free live online English classes per year.
Taipei, Taiwan, February 03, 2026 --(PR.com)-- In honor of Firefighters’ Day, TutorABC, a global leader in online education, has announced the third year of its “Firefighting Heroes English Empowerment” charity project. The company is donating NT$10 million in live online English courses to all 17,645 active-duty firefighters in Taiwan to help them access international rescue protocols and life-saving knowledge.
As disaster scenarios evolve—ranging from electric vehicle (EV) battery fires to extreme weather—firefighters must stay current with global safety standards. However, language barriers often hinder access to the latest international SOPs. This initiative provides each firefighter with 100 free live online English classes per year to bridge that gap.
TutorABC’s 24/7 platform is designed for the unpredictable nature of firefighting work. It allows personnel to study during standby hours or between shifts, focusing on technical English for emergency reporting, international training, and handling medical cases involving foreign nationals.
"Firefighting is a profession of sacrifice," said Hsin-yi Huang, Vice President of Marketing at TutorABC. "By providing these resources, we aim to equip our heroes with the 'soft power' of language to protect themselves and the public against evolving global risks."
Since its inception, over 10,000 firefighters have benefited from the program. Participants report that the ability to read original international journals and communicate with foreign nationals has significantly improved their operational efficiency and safety.
