Author Linda Moore is a mother of two sons and a daughter. She is a grandmother of five and the great-grandmother of a baby girl. Linda lives in the small community of Sikeston, Missouri. It lies approximately thirty miles from the great Mississippi River in Southeast Missouri.
Linda and her husband live in a quiet area outside of Sikeston known as the Mini Farms. She has lived there for the last thirty-five years. Linda and her husband are members of Fellowship Baptist Church. Linda is a Sunday school teacher, and her husband is the Sunday school director. Linda and Bill have been happily married for fifty-seven years. The church congregation refers to them as the “love birds.”
Linda is retired from the retail industry. She has worked at many of the large stores in this country. She wrote this book in the hope that readers will receive a blessing from it. Linda gives all the glory to God for the ability to write this about their earlier life.
Linda writes, “On September 30, 1968, I started this time in my life as a single
unwed mother living with my mother in Sikeston, Missouri. I took home my beautiful daughter to my mom’s house to recuperate. I did not know what it meant to be a mother. Lisa was so small and helpless. I used the time to reflect on what it meant to have another human being rely on you.”
