The San Francisco Mascot Race is Coming August 3, 2008 to Downtown San Francisco

The San Francisco Mascot Race is a family friendly event as part of the San Francisco Marathon on August 3, 2008.

San Francisco, CA, July 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The San Francisco Mascot Race is Coming.

bVisual Group and The San Francisco Marathon have teamed up to present the San Francisco Mascot Race. The Mascot Race will feature celebrity mascot challengers from the Bay area and beyond. The race will take place on August 3rd 2008 at 7:15am at the start line of The San Francisco Marathon at Mission and Embarcadero in Downtown San Francisco.

Mascots scheduled to appear in the race include: Havana Savanna from the San Francisco Zoo, The Don from the University of San Francisco, Oski from the University of California – Berkeley, SeeMore The Bee From bVisual, Scorch from the San Francisco Dragons, and Happy from Carl’s Jr.

The Mascot Race is part of the variety of family friendly entertainment and events that will be happening in conjunction with the San Francisco Marathon. The mascot challengers will be available for photos and autographs at the challenger’s booth at the San Francisco Marathon Expo at Pier 30/32 on August 1st from 10:30am – 6:00pm and August 2nd from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
