Outskirts Press Releses Racy New Science Fiction Novel, "LOLA wants - LOLA gets," by Jens T. Carstensen

Tampa, FL, August 05, 2006 --(PR.com)-- LOLA Wants—LOLA Gets is about a secret society that has as its primary goal the curbing of global warming through the worldwide reduction of pollution. Not such a bad vision unless you consider the way that LOLA is trying to reach its objective. The organization poses as a religion that fights for ecology, but then associates ecology with overpopulation. Its vision is to set up a global society, á la Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, where once worldwide control is established, human cloning will be used to control the number of humans on the planet. In the meantime, it has created a male-dominated society where sodomy and polygamy are de rigeur.

Within this science fiction framework, LOLA Wants—LOLA Gets focuses on the relationship between the wife of a high LOLA official and the man she meets, who may be her way out of the chauvinistic prison in which she lives. But when she and her lover try to escape with revealing church documents, LOLA initiates a deadly pursuit. “Their story,” author Jens Carstensen says, “is a love story about the evolution of a relationship and how it disintegrates under external pressures. It also shows how two people can regain their original faith after having lost it either to a casual life style or by compulsive surrender to the LOLA doctrine.”

Author Jens Carstensen was a professor emeritus at the University of Wisconsin. During a sabbatical in Paris in 1977, he began painting and writing. In the Midwest, he is well known for his oil paintings and watercolors. Aside from the present book, he has two upcoming suspense/romance novels that also reflect his philosophies.
